Two wines from Santa Marta wine cellar belonging to Valdeorras Appelation of Origin receive awards in the World Contest hold in Brussels

Two wines from Santa Marta wine cellar belonging to Valdeorras Appelation of Origin receive awards in the World Contest hold in Brussels. The vinyard Barrica Sousón (2011) received  a golden medal  and the vinyard Godello (2015) a silver one. Both wines, produced by Santa Marta wine cellar, where the only ones from Valdeorras Appelation of Origin, awarded in this important contest, where they took part as well 18 other Galician wines (13 belonging to Rías Baixas Appelation of Origin and 5 to Ribeiro Appelation of origin).

The Brussels World Contest (Concours Mondial de Bruxelles) is an international wine, alcoholic drinks a spirits contest was created in Belgium in1994. In the last edition of this contest, which took place in the Bulgarian city Plovdiv between the 29th April and 1st May last year, a professional jury composed by experts coming from 40 different countries tasted more tan 8.750 wine samples from 52 producing countries.
