Masters of Wine Valdeorras first visit.

DO Valdeorras receive first visit of the largest international experts in the world of wine, known as Masters of Wine. For two days, on 14 and 15 April, 18 Masters of Wine will be valdeorresas land to meet the vineyards and taste the wines, “which will be a unique opportunity to make ourselves known in the world,” says the president of the Control Board Jose Vicente Solarat. Visitors are very interested to see and learn firsthand the vineyards and the land on which they are based, as well as having the opportunity to taste a lot of brands covered by the DOP. The visit is organized from the Regulatory Council Valdeorras and two wineries offer dinner and lunch during your stay. The Masters of Wine who will visit the region of Eastern ourensano are mostly English but also be in the other group from Australia, USA, Norway, Sweden, Germany and Ireland. In the group will not miss the Spanish Master of Wine, Pedro Ballesteros, who also perform duties as host. This will be the first official trip to Galicia and performing the first to Spain since 2007. For one week visit 5 Galician denominations.

ACTIVITY VALDEORRAS. MASTERS OF WINE

The Masters of Wine valdeorras reach in the afternoon of Tuesday 14 April-  Will be greeted by the president of the Regulatory Council , José Vicente Solarat and then conduct a tasting of 40 wines from wineries in the DOP . After the tasting will move to a warehouse to meet its facilities and dine on them. The next morning will continue with visits to vineyards and wineries , and at noon will be received at another winery where you will be offered a meal and a vertical tasting of godellos .
