Valdeorras will show their godellos and mencias masters of Wine from tomorrow

The Guarantee of Origin Valdeorras  will send tomorrow for the first time of the greatest international experts in the world of wine, known as Masters of Wine. 18 experts from different parts of the world will know the vineyards and catarán wines from this appellation for the two days that will last this visit organised since the Council regulator of Valdeorras. Visitors are very interested in see and meet on-site vineyards and the land in which they settle, as well as the chance to taste a lot of brands covered by the Guarantee of Origin. The Masters of Wine who will visit the region of the East of Ourense are mostly English but they will also be in the Group others coming from Australia, USA, Norway, Sweden, Germany and Ireland. In the group there are the only Master of Wine Spanish, Pedro Ballesteros, who also will perform host duties. This will be the first official trip made to Galicia and the first in Spain since 2007. For a week they will visit 5 Galician names. Today they have started their visit in lands of Rías Baixas and to Valdeorras will arrive from O Ribeiro, as set by the program.

Tuesday, April 14

 Los Masters of Wine llegarán a tierras valdeorresas en la tarde del martes 14 de abril. Serán recibidos por el presidente del Consejo Regulador, José Vicente Solarat y a continuación realizarán una cata de 50 vinos de bodegas de la DOP. Una vez terminada la cata se desplazarán hasta una bodega para conocer sus instalaciones y cenar en ellas.

Wenesday, April 15

Wednesday morning they will continue with visits to vineyards and wineries, and at noon they will be welcomed at another Winery where offered a meal and a vertical tasting of godellos. Then undertake road to lands of Ribeira Sacra.
